We were joined by Johannesburg-based DJ and visual artist, Zara Julius, in the studio this month – in town to promote her new film MIXED SPACE. that discusses issues around racial identity in South Africa.

We caught up with Zara on her record collecting habits, the state of jazz and hip hop in SA and she spun a few percussive treats from Africa and the Caribbean. All that in addition to new music from Kutmah, Vels Trio, Oumou Sangare and Floyd Lavine.
