Good news folks – you can now listen to Moodymann‘s superb DJ-Kicks mix in full on Spotify via !K7. Spanning through Soul, Hip-Hop, Disco and House in the way only he knows best, the mix is an understated, slow-burning hour and twenty minutes that showcases the Detroit artist’s penchance for groove and subtlety. Those familiar with Moodymann’s live sets will recognise a fair few here – ‘Tea Leaf Dancers’, ‘BTSTU’ et al – with a few surprises inbetween of course: a rare acoustic performance of Anne Clark‘s haunting nu-wave classic ‘Our Darkness’ just one of the highlights.
