Hector Couto's Choice Ibiza Cuts for 2016

Hector Couto’s Choice Ibiza Cuts for 2016
David Beamson

Hector Couto is an artist whose stock appears to continue brewing in reckless abandon, year upon Ibiza-conquering year. Whether it’s putting out a steady stream of high class techy club cuts on imprints such as Get Physical, Hot Creations or 20/20, or at the helm of his ever impressive Roush imprint, the Tenerife native is a shining example of talent and ‘late blooming’ going hand-in-hand. Incorporating wicked percussion licks and his unmistakable groove lines, the Spaniard now occupies a solidified spot within the tech house upper echelons.

Regular slots across the Island at Amnesia and Sankeys, as well as more recent shows in the capital at Egg, have demonstrated his ability as an accomplished producer and furiously adept DJ,  and as the summer approaches he looks set to return to the White Isle with considerable gusto. Before touching down for the season’s opening next month and ahead of his latest Parental Advisory release on Roush, we asked Hector to lay down a few of the rambunctious tracks he predicts will be ringing out across Ibiza’s terraces this summer.

Arado – Get Up (Snatch Records)

Sublime cut from “Arado” released on Snatch Records, “Get up” had a groove that slowly sweeps you up with his raw percussion and claps that making you want to move, the track is pure Tech house and fits perfectly on every party in Ibiza

Hector Couto – Parental Advisory (Roush)

Parental Advisory is the main track of my new EP on my label Roush, It´s a real party starter with a wild vocal and jittery drums, the track  is produced exclusively for this summer, so we will dance with this one in Ibiza !!

DJ T. – Music Is Therapy (Moon Harbour)

‘Music Is Therapy’ is the new track of the legend DJ T. released at Moon Harbour. The german producer deliver a sizzling tech vibe with this track, groovy percussion and a raw vocal, the perfect sound for any club.

Franck Roger – The Drift HI08

French producer Franck Roger make a deep house gem on his own imprint Home Invasion, The drift is a sweaty, bumpin’ track that is a must have on my sets, Powerful and danceable it’s the perfect sound for Ibiza this summer.

Two Diggers, James Dexter – To The Blues

Classic feel good vibes from Two Diggers & James Dexter with ‘To The Blues’, a little funkier deep house groove that invites you to dance, this is what I call a properly doped out deep house jam.

Hector Couto’s Parental Advisory EP is out now on Roush.
