Craig Richards & Gottwood present Houghton
A new three-day festival for 2017, Houghton is the brainchild of fabric’s Craig Richards and the critically-acclaimed Gottwood team. Curated by the former and produced by the latter, the UK’s newest festival takes place mid-August on the picturesque Houghton estate in Norfolk, promising a fusion of art, music and sculpture.
The first-wave lineup announcement is nothing less than you’d expect with Craig Richards calling the shots. Expect longer sets and b2b spontaneity from a who’s who of house and techno royalty including Ricardo Villalobos – DJ set and debut UK live performance with Max Loderbauer as VILOD – Floating Points, Seth Troxler, Andrew Weatherall and many more. The fabric resident and St Martins graduate has also personally overseen the art and sculpture program to include work from James Turrell, Zhan Wang and Andrew Long amongst others – a rare opportunity to take a step back from the hustle and bustle of your usual festival experience.
With several UK festival institutions falling by the wayside of recent times, Houghton is looking set to pick up the pieces in emphatic fashion.
