Rising to national fame through his influence on the Russian club scene in the mid-90s, Anton Kubikov has always been a key figure in the country’s growing electronic music scene. Since those early days, his releases and mixes have showed off the wide range of dub and techno in his artillery, each of them layered with his uniquely ambient flavour.

This month, Kubikov gets feet tapping with his exquisite Ten Days Past Acid EP on Russian label MAYAK. The two-tracker features his original, as well as a remix on the flip that takes us on a completely different nocturnal journey.

Romanian-born Dubtil delivers his take, where a muted funky baseline is underpinned by dark notes and delicate changes in the punchy drum loop.
