London’s most sacred weekend in the calendar year often fails to reach the lofty heights it promises: either you’re packt like sardines in the pouring rain over in Notting Hill, you’ve used all your party tokens on the first night, or you’re bewildered by the sheer amount of day, night and day/night parties on offer. Thankfully, the capital’s most consistently excellent clubbing institution is practically daring you to stay on the fence with an impressive three-day lineup.

The Hydra’s Printworks extravaganza begins Friday 23rd August with internationally-acclaimed composer Nils Frahm, who will be performing his only London summer date here. The live performance will be supported by Global Communication’s Tom Middleton, who celebrates the twenty-fifth anniversary of his seminal album ’76:14′ with a special re-interpretation of the release.

Saturday showcases legendary heavyweights and trailblazing new-school alike for a techno showcase for the ages. Jeff Mills, Ben Klock and electro queen Helena Hauff bring their full-throttle sound, whilst Juan Atkins’ Model 500 and minimal pioneer Terrence Dixon play rare live sets. Hosting the more intimate Dark Room: Move D, Willow, Damiano von Erckert and DEBONAIR.

Looking for a healthy dose of funk in your dance? Sunday’s lineup is jam-packed with Stateside heroes: Larry Heard and Dam Funk perform live, with DJ sets from Carl Craig and 3 Chairs icons Theo Parrish and Moodymann rounding off proceedings.
