VIDEO: Chimpo - Buzzin' ft. Dub Phizix & Skeptical
Those Mancunians are at it again with another deep, dark and minimal banger, Buzzin’. Estate Recordings‘ dubstep don turned virtuous vocalist Chimpo teams up with label cohort Dub Phizix and recent R&S releasee Skeptical for another brutal offering in the Marka template, this time on Marcus Intalex‘s Soul:R.
The video harks back to Basement Jaxx’s Where’s Your Head At, with Chimpo’s cold-sweating body-less head popping up in fridges and cupboards, freaking the hell out of poor old Dub Phizix whose obviously taken one too many tabs. Whilst playing Xbox.
The floor-shaking bass and tribal percussion have definitely got some dancefloor appeal and will no doubt be doing the rounds on the club circuit, but the lyrics leave a little something to be desired so it’s not quite the full article. Still, an absolutely dangerous instrumental for any DJ’s arsenal.
